The Public Television Quality Group’s goal was to create a high definition technical quality improvement plan for public television, made necessary by the transition from analog to digital broadcasting. The Quality Group (QG) was an education and training effort on the best technical practices for production and delivery of HD content to the viewers through the digital television system.
This includes the entire process of creating and distributing HD content; from production planning to the final distribution via over-the-air broadcast and/or other distribution platforms. The QG conducted workshops and presentations around the country as well as provided this web site as a platform to distribute key documents to anyone interested. Most of these are found under Resources, with the video from workshops available under that tab, clicking on the appropriate workshop.
